The new power plant about 1935

The power plant became operational in the summer of 1935 and ran till World War II made it impossible to get oil to run the giant engines

This was taken in the spring of 2009. A friend was doing some work at the site and gave us a 'tour' of these huge engines. Little did we know at the time that a restoration project would be in the works and we would be right in the middle of it!'

Janurary 2010 This is what we started with, 70 years of accumulated stuff! We were both thrilled beyond belief and a bit overwhelmed at the prospect of restoring these great engines.'

'One year later, after bringing the 75hp Fairbanks Morse Model 47 back to life, we are working on the 150hp in the background. The building has also recieved some attention at this time although it must be noted that we have a lot of work yet to be done on all aspects of the powerhouse.'
